Transform a Jacksonville house into a home for a military family. .

Part of the American dream has always been owning a home.

Operation Homefront’s mission is to build strong, stable, and secure military families so they can thrive, not simply struggle to get by, in the communities they have worked so hard to protect. For many military families, part of the American dream is home ownership in those very communities, like Jacksonville, IL.

A Patriot’s Home joins Operation Homefront and a family of other dedicated corporate partners to help military families across the country realize their American dreams. Operation Homefront’s Homes on the Homefront program provides mortgage-free homes and supportive services to veterans and their families. Once families are matched with a home, they work with an Operation Homefront caseworker for the next two to three years to help build up their savings, reduce their debts and establish a budget plan so that they are better prepared for home ownership.

Our families represent the very best of our nation’s military: military families with both spouses serving, single parent households, graduates of Operation Homefront’s Transitional Villages, and wounded, ill, and injured veterans. In 2015, Operation Homefront placed 92 military families into mortgage-free homes, saving them more than $22.8 million in mortgage costs. Since the program began in 2012, Operation Homefront has matched or deeded more than 550 homes to military families, with an incredible success rate – 92% of families are still living in the home they were deeded, 6% of the families have upgraded to a larger home, and 2% have returned to apartment renting.
